DEUNA and PayPal Bring the Full PayPal Ecosystem to Enterprise Merchants Through a Single Integration

DEUNA
August 18, 2026

NEW YORK & MEXICO CITY — [August 19th, 2026] — DEUNA, the agentic payments intelligence platform for enterprise commerce, today announced the global expansion of its strategic partnership with PayPal, giving enterprise merchants everywhere one-click access to the entire PayPal ecosystem through a single API integration.  The collaboration brings the full PayPal product suite into DEUNA's unified payments infrastructure including PayPal Wallet, Venmo, and PayPal Pay Later (BNPL)1, available across every market where DEUNA operates.

The checkout gap is costing merchants billions. According to Baymard Institute, one in five shoppers abandon purchases because checkout is too long or complicated2. Industry experts estimate that poor checkout design alone erases $260 billion in revenue each year in annual e-commerce sales in the US and EU alone. For enterprise merchants operating across multiple markets, fragmented payment integrations compound that problem.

Building on the companies' earlier work around Express Checkout and PayPal Vaulting, the expanded partnership now makes the full PayPal portfolio available through DEUNA's unified API, across every market where DEUNA operates3:

  • PayPal Wallet — Access to 439 million active accounts in approximately 200 markets, the world's most recognized digital payment brand.
  • Venmo — The U.S. consumer social payments network with over 90 million active users, heavily skewing millennial and Gen Z.
  • Pay Later (BNPL) — Buy Now, Pay Later delivered over $40 billion in Total Payment Volume in 2025, with 60M users globally — 96% of whom are repeat users.

For enterprise merchants, the operational story is as important as the conversion story. Instead of building, maintaining, and updating separate connections for each PayPal product, merchants can use DEUNA's unified API to activate PayPal's product suite through one implementation, helping teams move faster across markets and adopt new capabilities with less engineering overhead.

The partnership is designed for enterprise merchants operating at scale across multiple markets, from global retailers and quick-service restaurants to travel and ticketing platforms, subscription businesses, and U.S.-focused consumer brands. In every case, the value is the same: one integration, one source of truth, and the full strategic depth of the PayPal ecosystem accessible through DEUNA, anywhere in the world. New product integrations are expected to be disclosed soon.

"Our partnership with PayPal is built on a shared commitment to helping merchants innovate faster and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Together, we are enabling enterprises to access PayPal's latest capabilities through a single integration, making it easier to scale consistent, world-class payment experiences across markets and continuously benefit from new innovations as they become available. By combining PayPal's global technology leadership with DEUNA's enterprise commerce expertise and experience supporting some of the most sophisticated merchants in the region, we are helping businesses accelerate adoption of innovation, unlock more value from every payment interaction, and stay ahead in an increasingly dynamic payments landscape."

Jose Torres, Chief Strategy Officer, DEUNA

“Latin America is home to some of the world’s most innovative and ambitious digital commerce businesses. What began as a strong partnership to support merchants across the region has evolved into a global collaboration designed to help enterprises scale beyond their home markets. By bringing the full PayPal ecosystem to merchants through DEUNA’s unified platform, we are making it easier for businesses to access trusted payment experiences, accelerate expansion into new geographies, and adopt new innovations with less complexity. Together, our goal is to help more enterprises across Latin America go global, grow global, and compete successfully wherever their customers are.”

Juan Bordes, VP & GM, Latin America, PayPal
